We encourage you to attend a free Smart Gardening workshop to improve your lawn/garden and reduce waste. No reservations needed. Workshops are about 1.5 hours and are held at libraries, parks, schools and other community venues. Purchase compost bins at a discount after each workshop.

We teach three workshop curriculums:

Intro to Composting: learn the basic techniques of backyard composting, worm composting, water-wise gardening, grasscycling, and edible gardening.

Organic Gardening: learn the fundamental principles for drought-tolerant landscaping, integrated pest management, building healthy soil, and composting at home.

Small-space Gardening: learn simple steps for balcony gardening, vermicomposting kitchen scraps, selecting indoor plants, and growing vegetables inside.

In compliance with the Safer at Home Order, on-site workshops have been temporarily suspended.
