Rebates

All customers of the Los Angeles County Waterworks Districts are eligible for rebates on a variety of water-saving devices.

  • Cash for Grass. Take Back your Saturday. Un-lawn your yard - Get $1 for every square foot of grass you replace with water-efficient landscaping. To print an application, click here.
  • High Efficiency Clothes Washers - reduce energy costs by 50 percent and reduce water and sewer costs by about 35 percent
    (Rebates up to $150)
  • High Efficiency & Dual Flush Toilets - use less water than older models and save more than 15 gallons of water each day
    (Rebates up to $150)
  • Weather-Based Sprinkler Controllers - regulate water given to plants by calculating the time of year, climate, weather and save more than 40 gallons per household per day (Rebates up to $150)
  • Rotary Sprinkler Nozzles - uniformly spray landscape with less pressure and use about 20 percent less water
    (Rebates up to $4 per nozzle)
  • Synthetic Turf - which replaces traditional lawn, eliminates the need for watering and save about 22,000 gallons of water per year for a 750 square foot installation (Rebates up to 30 cents/sq ft. or $150 for 500 sq ft.)
  • Commercial waterless or low-water urinals for business customers - save up to 45,000 gallons of water per year. Retrofits also qualify (Rebates $60-$120 for upgrades or up to $150 for new installations)
  • Drip Irrigation - $50

There are a number of manufacturers of artificial turf and drip irrigation system. All of them qualify for our rebate program.
