The Coordinated Shoreline Monitoring Plan for Santa
Monica Bay beaches is the culmination of a 15-month
multi-jurisdictional collaborative effort, involving
representatives from municipalities and public agencies
responsible for the implementation of the Santa Monica
Bay Beaches Bacteria TMDLs, the Regional Water Quality
Control Board, and the environmental advocacy groups.
The Plan was originally submitted to the Regional Board
on November 12, 2003, and
approved by the Executive Officer
on April 28, 2004.
