DEAR RESIDENT:

Re: Traffic Calming Solutions for Your Neighborhood

You were given the opportunity to participate in developing a traffic calming program for your street at a meeting held at Rowland Elementary School on April 1, 2004. Enclosed you will find a summary of the presentation and discussions with those residents who did attend. Now, you have the opportunity to comment on the traffic-calming measures you believe should be implemented in your neighborhood. Every residence on your street has received this notice.

Now is your opportunity to let us know your opinion of the plan.

Below is the list of potential measures that may be considered on Calle Barcelona, Calle Madrid and Crosshaven Drive between Albatross Road and Fullerton Road. Some measures, such as bulb-outs and traffic circles, would initially be installed by temporary means to assess their effectiveness, if they are chosen. After a suitable test period, they could be converted to more aesthetically pleasing permanent installations. The measures that are ultimately chosen will be constructed at no charge to the residents/homeowners.Please review the measures carefully, and then fill out and return your comments section of this form below by May 7, 2004.Please rank each of your selections (1st, 2nd, 3rd choice, etc).
