Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Question:
I have received grading plan correction (UNC-GRAD230804000334) (UNC-BLDR231215011951) from our plan check engineer Jason Zhang for a new single family residence on a vacant lot located at 5604 1/2 Heatherdale Drive Windsor Hills, California. Request is GEOTECHNICAL AND MATERIALS ENGINEERING DIVISION (GMED) GEOLOGY/SOILS SECTIONS submission. I am wondering what documents you require and where I can submit them. Thank you very much for all your help. Have a nice day.

Answer:
You will need to open up a geotechnical plan case in EpicLA and submit the following documents: grading plans, building plans, agency referral form, and GMED grading referral form (usually attached to the grading review sheet). If you have any geotechnical or soils reports for the development, you should submit those as well. We will invoice you for our review and then start the review upon payment of the invoice. It takes 4 weeks for us to complete the review from the date of payment.
