The decision regarding a soils report for an ADU is made by the local County Building and Safety Office in East L.A. Geotechnical and Materials Engineering Division does not have any records for the subject property. In addition, a search of the California Geological Survey Seismic Hazard Zone website reports the subject property is not in an earthquake fault zone, nor is it in an area zones for seismically-induced landslides or liquefaction. This information can be provided to the Building and Safety Office which may assist them in making their decision regarding a soils report.
