My name is Sylvia from NC Design Studio. We are working on clearance for the 4168 Mandalay Dr. project (Plan check # : BLDR210624005659) and we are trying to get the Building And Safety Division ~ Grading And Drainage section, Geotechnical and materials engineering division(GMED) clearance.
Could you please let us know what steps need to be taken in order to clear this process? Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Answer:
As of this morning, there does not appear to be a submittal for GMED clearance. Building and Safety will make the initial decision if GMED review is necessary. If so, you will need to submit building plans, any geotechnical reports, and the Agency Referral sheet from Building and Safety. GMED will determine the fees to perform the review and invoice the applicant. Once fees are paid, the submittal is logged in and assigned for review. Current backlog is approximately 4 weeks.
