Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Question:
My name is Hannah Snyder and I am a student at Pomona College. As part of a final project, I am developing a citizen strategy report for Coyote Creek. I am interested in any information you have about the pollutants and challenges facing the creek, the major stakeholders and communities that are interested in the health of the creek, as well as any projects or plans relating to the creek. I would also love to get the contact information of anyone who might be able to answer further questions.

Answer:
For the Coyote Creek Watershed Management Plan, the website http://www.rmc.ca.gov/plans/water.html is a good source of information, including discussion of the existing conditions and project opportunities within the watershed. The County of Orange, Resources and Development Management Dept, was the lead for preparation of the plan and has jurisdiction over a majority of the watershed. You may wish to also contact them for additional information.

For more information regarding pollutants of concern, here is the link to the Regional Board's website which includes their list of impairments for water bodies in the state. One in the website, scroll down to find Coyote Creek and the water bodies are listed in alphabetical order.
