NEIGHBORHOOD
TRAFFIC SAFETY CAMPAIGN (Education)

Traffic safety
campaigns for a particular neighborhood usually consist of informational
leaflets, fliers or letters sent out to residents and schools.
These may show information on current travel speeds within the
area with a request that neighbors adhere to posted speed limits
and other traffic laws such as stopping at stop signs etc. It
is not clear whether these measures actually result in safer driving
conditions or whether they are effective in the reduction of traffic
speeds. They target neighborhood residents so speeding resulting
from non-local cut-through traffic is not affected.
